The 2021 Blanca G. Silvestrini Award for Outstanding Article in Puerto Rican Studies:

El ganador del Premio Blanca G. Silvestrini para Artículo Sobresaliente en los Estudios Puertorriqueños ($200) fue Lawrence La Fountain-Stokes (University of Michigan) por su artículo, “Boricuas Cruzando Fronteras: Autobiografías y Testimonios Trans Puertorriqueños.”

Marie Cruz Soto, Karieann Soto Vega, y Javier Alemán evaluaron 11 ensayos nominados.

The 2020 Blanca G. Silvestrini Award for Outstanding Article in Puerto Rican Studies:

- Maritza Stanchich (University of Puerto Rico-Río Piedras) and Hilda Lloréns (University of Rhode Island) - "Water is life, but the colony is a necropolis: Environmental terrains of struggle in Puerto Rico," published in Cultural Dynamics Vol. 31 (1-2). 

Honorable Mention: Cristina Pérez Jiménez (Manhattan College) - "Puerto Rican Colonialism, Caribbean Radicalism, and Pueblos Hispanos's Inter-Nationalist Alliance," published in Small Axe 23. 


The 2019 Blanca G. Silvestrini Award for Outstanding Article in Puerto Rican Studies: 

- Petra Rivera-Rideau (Wellesley College) - "If I Were You: Tego Calderon's Diasporic Interventions," published in Small Axe Vol. 22, no. 1.
