This award honors the best paper on Latin American Political Institutions presented at LASA. It will be announced before the 2026 LASA Congress and the author(s) will be appropriately lauded at the LAPIS Section Reception.
Nomination Information
- Deadline:
- The deadline to submit nominations is Friday, January 23 2026 (Nominations. received after that date will not be considered for the award).

- Eligibility:
- Any paper on Latin American political institutions presented in LASA 2025 is elegible for the award.
- Only section members can nominate or self-nominate papers for this award. You can renew your membership here by adding it to your LASA Membership. If you don't have a LASA Membership you can become a member of the section by becoming a "Friend of LASA" (for free) and paying the section fee $12.
