La mesa redonda propone compartir experiencias, oportunidades, desafíos y proyectos en torno a la difusión del Cine Latinoamericano. El taller presentará el Proyecto Archivo Interactivo del Documental Latinoamericano, LA-Red, una plataforma que presenta (identifica, cataloga, muestra y exhibe) el cine documental latinoamericano en el ámbito educativo. The purpose of the round-table is to share and discuss different instances promoting Latin American Cinema in the community, beyond the academic environment. Organizers: Zulema Moret (Grand Valley State University), Vania Barraza Toledo (The University of Memphis). Participants: Sabrina Aviles (Boston Latino International Film Festival), Analia Alcolea (PLAFF – Providence Latino Film Festival), Claudia Ferman (LASA Film Festival), Zulema Moret (GRLAFF, Grand Rapids Latin American Film Festival). Discussant: Vania Barraza Toledo (The University of Memphis).

The workshop “Towards a Latin American Documentary Film Archive and Interactive Database (LA-RED)” will discuss the groundwork completed for the project LA-RED. LA-RED will present (identify, catalogue, showcase and deliver) documentary film production to the educational environment.
