¿Quiénes somos?

La sección Siglo XIX de LASA fue creada en 2015. El propósito es establecer un espacio transdisciplinario para crear comunidad entre quienes trabajan temáticas del siglo XIX latinoamericano, compartir información, intercambiar recursos de investigación, publicaciones, intereses comunes de investigación y complementar y difundir la labor de otros grupos que trabajan el diecinueve desde diversos campos. Nuestra idea es estimular la creación de un foro interdisciplinario que dé espacio para diversos modos de pensar y trabajar el diecinueve, más allá de los acercamientos tradicionales. El objetivo es repensar la actualidad del diecinueve desde nuestros presentes poscolonial y en conjunto.

Who Are We?

The Nineteenth Century Section of LASA was created in 2015. Its purpose is to establish a transdisciplinary space for building community among those who work on nineteenth-century Latin American topics, share information, exchange research resources, publications, and common research interests, and complement and disseminate the work of other groups engaged with the nineteenth century from different fields. Our aim is to foster the creation of an interdisciplinary forum that makes room for diverse ways of thinking about and engaging with the nineteenth century, beyond traditional approaches. The goal is to rethink the relevance of the nineteenth century from our shared and postcolonial present.
