Position Summary: The Department of World Languages, Literatures & Cultures in the Fulbright College of Arts and Sciences at the University of Arkansas invites applications for a tenure-trackAssistant or Associate Professor of Spanish with a primary specialization in U.S. Latino/a Literature and Cultures with areas of expertise in Mexican Literature or Caribbean Literatures preferred; Secondary areas of expertise and interest desired include Heritage Language Learners or digital humanities. This is a standard nine-month faculty appointment with orientation activities beginning August 10 and teaching duties beginning August 17.

Webinar analiza la relación entre opinión pública y emergencia climática en América Latina

WAPOR Latinoamérica organiza un webinar de análisis sobre la emergencia climática y la opinión pública en la región. El evento se centrará en el papel crucial de las élites dentro de la agenda ambiental. También se debatirán las percepciones sociales que existen en torno a la Amazonía. Un tema clave será los desafíos que presenta la transición energética, guiada por el principio de justicia climática.

Este espacio busca comprender las intersecciones entre la percepción ciudadana y las problemáticas medioambientales. Contará con la participación de académicos de FLACSO, la UFPA y la UFRGS. CAF (Banco de Desarrollo de América Latina y el Caribe) is now the first development bank to adopt UNICEF’s Child-Lens Investing Framework)

CAF – the Development Bank of Latin America and the Caribbean – has become the first development bank to adopt UNICEF’s Child-Lens Investing Framework, a milestone for the region. The initiative originated in Helsinki, driven by the persistence and vision of Alexander Mazyar, Rostami Radha Kulkarni, Florian Morales, and Francisco Biber, with early support from Finland’s Ministry for Foreign Affairs and Aki Enkenberg’s team. The post highlights the long and challenging process behind the innovation, emphasizing that meaningful change requires perseverance, belief, and purpose.
