Summary of Latino Voter Poll (Q3 2025)

This summary pertains to the "Quarterly Tracking Poll – 2025 Quarter 3" document presented above, which was conducted by Global Strategy Group. The data indicates a steady decline in former President Donald Trump's net favorability, job approval, and economic approval ratings among Latino voters from February to September 2025. This downward trend is observed across key demographics, including a notable shift among male voters and more pronounced negative ratings among Independents and voters aged 18-29.

The poll also highlights significant economic concerns, with a majority of respondents associating tariff policies with rising personal costs and expressing strong opposition to the H.R. 1 tax bill. A key finding is a perceived misalignment between voter priorities, such as inflation, and the issues they believe the administration is focused on. The complete data set and detailed analysis are available for review in the full document above.

Call for Abstracts: JEMS Special Issue Workshop on "Migration Across the Americas"

The Center for the Study of International Migration (UCLA) and the Journal of Ethnic and Migration Studies (JEMS) are organizing a workshop for early career and emergent scholars on April 16th, 2026, at UCLA. The workshop invites abstract submissions on the broad theme of "Migration Across the Americas," with the goal of publishing selected papers in a JEMS special issue.

This initiative is targeted at post-doctoral fellows, faculty within six years of their appointment, and advanced PhD students. Participants will present draft papers and receive constructive feedback to steer them through the publication process. While accommodation and meals will be provided, participants are responsible for their own travel costs.

Selected participants will have the opportunity to develop their papers for publication in a special issue of JEMS. The special issue editors and workshop organizers are Cecilia Menjívar (menjivar@soc.ucla.edu) and Paul Statham (paul.statham@sussex.ac.uk) . Applicants should submit a two-page abstract and a one-page CV to Durana Saydee (duranasaydee@g.ucla.edu) by October 31, 2025.

This represents an excellent opportunity for early career scholars to contribute to a leading publication in the field.
