The section is dedicated to the promotion of policy-relevant dialogue as well as research at the intersection of politics and economics. It seeks to attract members interested in any or all aspects related to theoretical and empirical debates around the role of states and markets in the development of Latin American and Caribbean nations. The section normally organizes panels during LASA Congresses as well as business meetings.
